Hillen Road Improvement Association supports students, faculty, staff and Morgan Alumni will stand in the gap for students, faculty and staff as we continue to build a vibrant and safe community. We stand in solidarity in supporting community engagement activities, and planning organizations. We appreciates the support of MSU in welcoming the people who live and work in the surrounding communities. #MorganStrong.

Welcome to Hillen’s community neighborhood association. Within the Hillen Road Improvement Association (HRIA) boundaries, there are approximately 1,300 homes, Northwood Commons and Morgan State University, see map. Of the homes, all residents are members of the Hillen Road Improvement Association of which approximately 220 homes are also within the boundaries of governed by the Greater Northwood Covenant Association (GNCA).
The Hillen Road Improvement Association (HRIA) holds monthly meetings to discuss current issues, relate community activities and inform residents of community resources. Community meetings provide a forum to discuss issues and concerns affecting residents within HRIA boundaries

Beauty Plus, Beauty Supply
HRIA welcomes Beauty Plus Beauty Supply to Northwood Commons. The owner is a HRIA resident as well as Morgan State University Alumni. The grand opening was Saturday February 11.

The HRIA mission is to support our community by advocating for our residence in working with local government, businesses, and our neighbors. We fellowship with Morgan State University, Northeast District Police Department, Department of Public Works and other neighborhood associations to champion improvements, voice concerns and stride for the betterment of the community.

HRIA Neighborhood
The Hillen community boundary is described in the map below
- We serve any resident or owner of property living within the section of Baltimore City bounded by:
- Hillen Road on the east;
- Roundhill Road on the south (to Tivoly Avenue, and including the 3800 block of Tivoly Avenue);
- West on Roundhill Road (and including the south side of the 1500 block of Roundhill Road);
- North along Loch Raven Boulevard on the west (including the west side of the 4300 block of Loch Raven Blvd) to Kingsway;
- One block west on Kingsway (and including the south side of Kingsway);
- West along Kelway (north to Cold Spring Lane;
- East to Loch Raven Boulevard on the north
- North to Arlington Avenue;
- East on Arlington Avenue on the north to Hillen Road.
